People and Development (PAD) is established by a group of professionals involved variedly in media, development, education, business and others as a movement aiming in bringing a new and innovative approach to assist in rebuilding New Nepal, defying the conventional concept of charity and development and prefiguring a new concept of rights, activism and building consensus on broader level. PAD primarily works through advocacy in protecting and promoting rights by lobbying, campaigning, discourse, pressure groups, and social conscientisation.  PAD conducts youth discussion series every week among the private college going students as well as in public colleges. The rationale of the project is to make aware the youth (16-25yrs) age groups on the issues related to inclusive democracy, constituent assembly, non-violence, participation, reintegration etc. The students become PAD’s volunteers and get engaged with the other PAD’s project. PAD does extensive campaigning and mobilisation on the issues that are of local, regional and national importance. Recently PAD organized a signature campaign against government's failour to supply petroleum product.It has collected twenty five thousand signature,which has been submitted to the office of prime minister.
